I have been seeing this problem for the past couple of days, just
haven't had time to debug.
I have 3 machines
1 main backend, 2 tv cards
1 slave backend running a frontend too, 1 tv card
2 slave frontends

On the slave frontends i can play any recorded file no prob.
One the slave backend, most of the time when I try to play back files
that are on the master backend it hangs.
When I can play files on the slave backend it works fine and shows no
problems, but once it starts acting up it won't stop for awhile.
I noticed that mythbackend on the slave backend doesn't need to be
restarted to get the frontend to respond again, only the master server.
I will run some debug stuff tonight.
