I didn't see the image before (they are easy to miss when wedged between
unclipped boilerplate from quoted messages and the new boilerplate attached
to the current message, which is where my MUA puts attachments).

To my eye, it has two flaws:

1. There are several vertical lines through the picture. I'll assume this
is the "weird interference" you were reporting. I get this same problem
(currently) on one of my systems, and I believe it is 60-Hz interference
from an AC line. Might be in the box. Might be the cable running too close
to something noisy (a power cable? a transformer?). Might be a noisy power
supply in the PC. The relative likelihood of these guesses depends on the
sorts of details you did not include in your message.

2. After the vertical lines are substracted out, the image itself is not
very sharp. For now, I'll assume that part of the problem is an artifact of
the still-capture and is not the "weird interference". If I am mistaken in
this, please post again.
