While I like this concept I find the UI possibly too complex for most.

The system can, however, with no UI, count how many times a program has
been watched, ie. played through to within 10% of the end.   This number
can be displayed in the delete or end-of-program menus.  With just 2 or
3 watchers of a show, people can then figure out if the others have
watched it.  With 4 different watchers it might get a bit difficult, but
I think that's rare.
