How you Described, I think it's good.

Of couse with the rom extension, I would be nice if there could be a 
option in the Mythgame Geral Config Screen if the extension sould be 
displayed or not.

I think with the Amigia Emulator I could work like you described, but if 
you give the romname in Parameters, I think it sould be done in This way 
on the other emulators to!

And the Metadata:
The we sould generate a File with perdefined Metadata for all systems 
(like the one for the nes) wich could edit everybody, and wich i parsed 
on the begin of the rom reading.

I think we sould gernerate checksums for roms and gernerate a homepage 
where every user could enter metadata so that you can download the new 
config file and import it easyl to mythgame.
Or we make a option to enter the metadata in mythgame and delete the 
metadat in mythgame only if a rom could not be found anny more and the 
user accepts to delete!
