Is it? For me, 16:9 zoom seems perfect for watching 4:3 material which
the TV station has converted to 16:9 by adding horizontal black bars.
I have a 4:3 display. The 16:9 zoom crops the black bars so that the
resulting 4:3 image can fill the screen.
