Both with and without override, I only get one showing marked to
record.

Are you sure you don't have any conflicts that are getting resolved
automatically because of rankings or conflictresolution entries?

Can you send me the date of you cvs checkout (and any diffs) and the
relevant entries from your program, record, recorded and oldrecorded
tables.
