I guess it's what you get used to but I quit using mythweb because there
were some serious bugs in it that were never going to be fixed with the Web
App coming online.

I'm on v35 aka Master. A number of improvements have been made even over
the v34 version. I've been running v35 for about 6 months; no issues.

As for upcoming, on the web app I see it sorted by date and you see the new
date in the left hand column when it goes to the next day. I can also sort
it my Title, or Channel.

Since both Firefox and Chrome have zoom factors you can control how much
information on the screen. Program guide is a compromise between hours and
information. Since I use SchedulesDirect I see a ton of program
information on the Web App. It supports mouse over to show pop up details.

So a lot of improvements over v34 and mythweb. Since I've been using Web
App since v34 first came out, I'm not sure I could use mythweb even if it
was supported.

If you have a networked tuner like HDHomerun you could spin up an Ubuntu VM
and play with v35 before you move to it.
