says what I have done. Note that this is WIP but if anyone wants to play please feedback any sucess stories.

Craig it *does* have python bindings but does not have perl ones. I’ll investigate.
Dan the packager uses a sandbox concept. With (that I know of the liberation font stuff) no use is made of system libaries so all the macport stuff is isolated and safe.
