I read an article about issues with the USB3 to SATA adapters and it gave a list of those that did all the commands right. So I bought one on the list. Since RPi4 will not boot from USB, I have the boot partition on the microSD and the rootfs on the SATA SSD. It has worked great and I’ve done lots of recordings.
