That's a good idea.  However, I think I'm going to avoid the whole 
problem by leaving the Shield TV Mythtv-Frontend connected to the 
production backend and use leanfront for my test system. It's trivial to 
switch that back and forth if needed and all I need from the test is 
checking video breakup of the HDHR depending on it's firmware and 
network configuration.
