Blech. Bundling. Bundling is security department's new nightmare.

So the answer to old libraries on, say, EL7 is to bundle all the new
libraries with the app that needs them and forget about the old
libraries, yes?

Who maintains everything that was bundled? The developer of the app
that is bundling them (only because his app needs newer libraries)? Do
you really think he is paying attention to the security updates for all
of the libraries he's so conveniently bundled into his app release for
you?

Is he doing a new release of his app every time one of the libraries
he's bundled needs an update?

I know what the answer to these questions is.
