Yes, the last channel watched was the only available on that source, so 
that's normal.  The channel numbers on the HdPvr are different from the 
HdHomerun, but both sources on the HdHomerun have the same channel numbers.

I tried live TV as described in my example (it blinked "Please Wait"),  
then tried it through the program guide.   That worked, thanks for the 
tip.  I'm a little surprised that it didn't automatically roll over to 
the next available source, but the get-around worked, so , problem solved.
