in 0.29 Frontend setup has a setting "Extra audio buffering". Does
turning that on or off make a difference?
In 30 (master) that checkbox is changed to a number of milliseconds of
extra buffer you can choose. The old "Extra Audio Buffering" is equal to
a setting of 100ms.
If you go into the playback audio sync, and adjust it, does the audio
sound good ignoring the fact that lip-sync will be wrong? If so, then
using version 30 and adjusting the extra audio buffering higher will
solve it.
v30 frontend as of today will work with a v29 backend. This is not
always the case. You could uninstall v29 mythtv-light and then install
the v30 mythtv-light.
