[mythtv-users] Fedora 24 to 28 upgrade insights?

With fall on its way I am pondering an OS upgrade on the MythTV BE/FE I built
3 years ago this month and would like to solicit the experiences of anyone
using Fedora since I'm a long-time RedHat user. I'm happy to update to F28 and
let it go EOL for another few years.

Here's my gear:

Intel Core2 Duo with 4G of RAM
    nVidia GT520 with akmod-nvidia-375.66
    Motorola DCX-3200MP2 HD over Firewire
Motorola DCT-700 SD analog into a Hauppauge PVR-500
MCE remote that came with the Hauppauge kit
2 1T disks with plenty of free space

and my software:

    Fedora 24
    MythTV 0.28-2
    lirc 0.9.4c-7
    6200ch.c and LircChannelChanger.pl channel-changers
    MythWeb
Schedules Direct line-ups for Shaw Cablesystems

Things work OK, in that I'm used to their foibles, but 3 years is a long time
to get behind the Fedora and MythTV curves. I could also pop in a new 2T drive
to be able to rsync all my recordings as the original drives age.

Any insights?
