[mythtv-users] nvidia for RH derived distros - was Indoor HD antenna question

I've been using the nvidia akmods package for many years now and there are
occasionally hiccups but for the most part it has worked very well (I'm
also a Fedora and RPM Fusion packager and maintained the akmods package
until it moved into Fedora).

One problem I've had recently on Fedora 27 is that some update (not sure if
it was on the X or Nvidia side) gdm tried starting with Wayland instead of
X and caused a blank screen. The fix on my desktop was to uncomment the
following line in /etc/gdm/custom.conf:

[daemon]
# Uncoment the line below to force the login screen to use Xorg
WaylandEnable=false

This only affects gdm but Gnome seems to do the correct thing and choose X
over Wayland.
