There have been various attempt to improve Live TV
over the years, and there are certainly some which
have stated it works well for them. But sometimes
the improvements help one use case, and break
another. Sometimes a fix in a different area has a
negative side effect for Live TV, but as testing is based
on interest, and few spend time testing Live TV, the
results are not even reported for months/years (or
longer), long after there is an indication that change
X was likely an issue (and for various reasons, few
seem to want to do the git bisect debugging). And
sometimes the issues are very specific to a particular
environment, making reproducers impossible even
if some dev gets an itch.

Just FYI, due to wiki abuse by miscreants, one typically
has to request that signups be enabled (for a specific
period), since signups have been typically disabled
(yeah, it is a royal PITA, but filling the wiki with crap
(and then cleaning it up) is a royal PITA too).
