I've had my MythTV systems running under Gentoo for like 10 years now.
I've always wanted to help more with this, though I'm not sure I'm
savvy enough regarding ebuilds at this point. My work has me pretty
much way too busy for much of that. I'm currently running 0.28.1 and
it's really solid. I'm actually using a copy of the ebuild in my local
overlay that allows me to use DVD support without udisks2 or dbus as
noted here:

https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=580856

Unfortunately, since MythTV itself has no compile option to exclude
QtDbus (it's based solely on whether it happens to be installed), it's
currently not possible to add a USE flag for that.

Maybe I can help in some way. Thanks!

Tom
