That behavior is not unique to IPTV or current mythtv versions. I always
see it whenever I use LiveTV. I never see it for scheduled recordings
that are OK. I will see those B size, non-existent file recordings if
there's a real problem trying to tune a channel. I have HD Homerun and
Hauppauge HVR-1600 tuners and am still on 0.27. Guess it's something
your channel change script will have to cope with. I don't use one and I
don't have any recording related system events configured.
