This is currently my plan. I got the HDHR Prime, went to the Comcast store
and picked up a CableCARD. It took two phone calls and more than an hour on
the phone with Comcast, but I did successfully get the card activated and
the HDHR Prime works great. I have asked to have my equipment upgraded, so
we'll see what they send.

I do actually use the Comcast DVR from time to time, and it serves as a
backup for my Myth system. My Myth system was down for a couple of months
last year when our basement got flooded and it was too unstable down there
to run a computer, HD-PVR recordings occasionally fail so I set the
Comcast DVR to record really critical shows (like Broncos games :-) , and
so on. I am fairly sure I will take back the two STB's that I would have
used for the HD-PVRs, and keep the new "X1" DVR box. I may hold on to one
of the new boxes just long enough to see how the multi-room DVR system
works. I'm expecting that continuing to use the HD-PVR's won't even be an
option anyway because the new boxes are unlikely to have the necessary
component outputs.
