[mythtv-users] Initial setup of new frontend issues

Hi Everyone,

I have been a long time user of mythtv, but I am setting up a new frontend
onto my laptop that I just reinitialized with a new Lubuntu 16.04.

My backend is on my desktop and runs fine. It is set to it's real IP
address (not the localhost 127.0.0.1 address) and runs well. Mythfrontend
on that machine connects and runs well.

Now that I finally have a good network running in my house, it's worthwhile
to run it on my laptop, so I updated it to 16.04 and installed
mythtfrontend, but I cannot get beyone the initial language setup screen,
and maybe I'm missing something basic, but I cannot figure out how you give
it the information to select where to find the backend.

Maybe the problem is that it core dumps right after the language setup
screen and it's not letting me set where to find the backend, or maybe it
cannot connect to the database, but instead of letting me set the
parameters it dumps.

Am I missing something?
