As for my policy of center cutting 16:9,

a) since we create the content, no one is missing a thing without the 
sides.  Nothing.

b) I believe many of our viewers will be unable to find an anamorphic 
setting on their TV, or figure out how to expand the letterboxed 4:3 so 
it is not postage stamped.  It is my view it plays correct on more TVs 
the way it is than either of those options.  Even though, I personally, 
would prefer an anamorphic frame.

If we could insert AFD into our HD-SDI and have it respected after it 
goes though HD-SDI>ASI> to whatever else Charter is running us through 
before we go back out I would do that.
