OK, back to basics then.  I don't think you have said yet which
version of MythTV you are running.  So please post that, and copies of
your /etc/apt files for the MythTV and Mythbuntu repositories.  You
can find which files by doing "grep -ir myth" from the /etc/apt
directory.
