I like HDHR as a company which is why I have purchased their products, and currently looking at the CONNECT to see how it handles Over The Air signals. And I have to believe that using the HDHR DVR to record and save the files it to MythTV maybe a simplified option.
I would say that the last sentence is 100% backwards. Using HDHR DVR with MythTV is a complicating factor which provides no benefits. It would be far better to connect the the CONNECT to MythTV directly or to use HDHR DVR without MythTV.

As much as I like hosting my MythTV server, there is something appealing about the HDHR DVR solution. I could justify the cost with getting to keep my MythTV Server and purchasing the DVR if there were some bonuses which could be useful. Maybe such as the ability to minimize the MythTV to a Atom Proc server and keep the work load on the DVR. Where users could interact with MythTV which would control HDHR DVR.
And so I thought I would ask here and see if anyone has played with it yet. Maybe I will blaze the trail this time. See how my budget looks.
