I'm hopeful that most devices like HDHR, home routers, small switches, 
etc. will soon be powered with USB-C plugs.  That will make them trivial 
to power off of a PC instead of separate power supplies and will make it 
trivial to swap out supplies.

I think my HDHR power supply spec is just a hair above what regular USB3 
provides.  I suspect it would work.  Has anyone tried wiring up 5v 
devices to USB plugs?
