I've been running FE/BE on an Ion2 Jetway m/b D525 1.8GHz ubuntu
12.04.3, 128Gb SSD, 2x1TB in RAID1 ZFS, 2x290e tuners. This is connected
via a 12m HDMI cable to a TV via a Marantz SR5002 AV amp for several
years now. It records and plays back HD TV and will record and playback
at the same time. Getting HDMI to work was tricky but not impossible.
Very little 'optimisation' other than setting MythTV up for the Nvidia
driver as has been already reported. I realise it's 'ancient' but it
works and suggests very little 'optimization' is required.
