Perhaps you should update the MythTV wiki with this information
(anyone can add/edit the pages). It might make it easier for the
next person with equivalent configurations...

I've been running FE/BE on an Ion2 Jetway m/b D525 1.8GHz ubuntu
12.04.3, 128Gb SSD, 2x1TB in RAID1 ZFS, 2x290e tuners. This is
connected via a 12m HDMI cable to a TV via a Marantz SR5002 AV amp
for several years now. It records and plays back HD TV and will
record and playback at the same time. Getting HDMI to work was
tricky but not impossible. Very little 'optimisation' other than
setting MythTV up for the Nvidia driver as has been already
reported. I realise it's 'ancient' but it works and suggests very
little 'optimization' is required.<br>
