Thanks for the suggestion, Richard. I do have HDMI-to-DVI adapters (I'll 
have to check whether they're D or A) and an HDMI cable. My laptop has an 
HDMI port, so if I've got the right adapter, I can readily check this 
option, per your suggestion.
