My power supply died a few years ago.  I soldered the wires from the power
connector that connects to the Hauppauge to the 5V supply wires of an old
USB cable, so now I can use any USB wall adapter rated at 1A or more.

Hacker side-note:  It might even work from your PC's USB port, since many
newer PCs can supply 1A from the USB port.  (I'm always up for one less
wall wart...)  In fact if your PC supports it and you're really
adventurous, you might be able to power it from the 5V coming from the
Hauppuge's USB connector - one less cable.  Just open up the box and run a
wire from the USB +5V to the +5V terminal of the power connector.  No
guarantees, but I think I'll give it a shot should my current supply fail.
Would love to reduce the rat's nest of wires in my system...
