I'm not clear about the boot scripts you at present include, for I
build my own and haven't looked at what comes with it for almost a
year. But for logging with open-rc just add --syslog local7 at boot
and mythlogserver is redundant. Maybe steerable with a use-flag or
through conf.d. Of cause you need to have a syslog running. I myself
love metalog. If I have understood well, you can compile mythtv
without mythlogserver. So also maybe an idea for a use-flag. Or the
same as intended above.
