For a Chromebook a Tegra K1 would likely be very nice.
For a MythTV FE, perhaps not so much.

Keep in mind that (last I looked) the Tegra K1(*) did not
have a VDPAU API available for Linux, which means
decoding of MythTV content in software (until/unless
someone creates patches for MythTV to use gstreamer
hardware decoder plugin support (which would help not
only the K1, but a number of other ARM SoCs that
have gstreamer plugin support), or some other K1 specific
code). I believe that the Intel HD Graphic chip in the
Atom has MPEG2 decoding in hardware via VAAPI
(although advanced de-interlacing still has to be done
by the software) which is supported by MythTV Your
mileage will vary

(*) The Tegra K1 is a very attractive chip for GPU
intensive activities such a content display or
eye candy (or even protein folding :-). I saw a
demo of it being used to follow people in crowds
(which has all sorts of implications), although I
was able to "beat" it by moving very very very
slowly (it thought I was a stationary object and
it was only looking for objects that moved). Hm,
I wonder if the Angels would be quantum locked
when the Tegra K1 observed them.
