Hi Nicholas,

I suspect XBMC is a UPnP renderer also, so this starts to become another
"why XBMC vs. MythFE" use-case.

I did try music with MythFE's Airplay support but that didn't seem to
work either. I could get video over Airplay but not just audio.

Or local media also.

But why would I want to rather than just accessing that BE directly from
the FE?

Yeah. Ideally I want to use whatever Android music app I would normally
use to listen to otherwise (i.e. with headphones or the speaker or
bluetooth, etc.) but it seems that general integration between audio
(i.e. music) apps and streaming (with UPnP or otherwise) in Android is
not quite there and not enough audio apps support "share" to send
through whatever *casting software you want to use. There seem to be
solutions if you can/want to root your device though, to route any audio
through a *cast.

Maybe a Bluetooth dongle and sink is the better way to go.

What's "mythbox" in this context. It seems to be different from what
you are referring to as your "MythFE".
