i've had issues with sleeping my lenovo thinkpad w/ nvidia: fedora wakes up
immediately, ubuntu occasionally wakes up locked up with the caps-lock indicator
flashing...

adding nomodeset to the grub config as suggested in
 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/350680/comments/65
seems to have fixed it...
