On some Samsung TVs it has been reported than
if you (re)name the input something like "PC" it changes
modes auto-magically.  Google is your friend (or,
probably, read the entire e-manual that Samsung
provides).

disclaimer, I do not have a Samsung TV, so
this is from memory of a thread I only only
passingly recall on another list far far away
from the recent debates on this list on the
lack of declarative rulings.....
