OK...I just tried rescanning a specific multiplex where I knew there
was a newer channel I didn't have. I had 11.1 and 11.2, and there was
a new 11.3 I wanted to get.

So I guess apparently the options on what to update and delete etc are
driven by the prompts after the scan...such as skip all, delete all,
or manual etc? It's a little scary having no idea what to expect on
stuff like this and just going in and trying it. In any case I
updated the existing two stations and let it add the third. I can now
tune in that new channel.

A few questions:

Did I just miss it or is the choice of channel delimiter (dot vs dash
vs underscore) option no longer available during the scan? I had to
manually rename all three channels using dots instead of the default
underscores in order to have my remote work correctly.

Also, I can't seem to get guide data for the new channel. I know it's
available for my OTA area as I see listings on zap2it.com. What I did
was to go into my schedules direct account and enable that channel in
the lineup and then run "mythfilldatabase --dd-grab-all". When I saw
that I got no listings for it with that, I tried going into the video
source in mythtv-setup, which seems to fetch the channel lineup(??)
and then tried mythfilldatabase again...still nothing. Is there some
step I'm missing there that would prevent me from getting the program
data for that new channel?

Thanks.
Tom
