Generally agreed. 100%.
But a) when looking more specific, it always is sad if something perfect is broken down and b) a theme that is called like the whole software project, is assumed to be some kind of standard (though Terra is the new standard theme, I think, but I'm not sure).
The standard elements of a big software project should be handled with improved democratic care, in my opinion.

And I would change immediately to an alternative choice, if there would be an acceptable one!! What should I do? Chose another theme, I don't like and complain about that, just to get the same answer for this? In the end, I do am forced to use that particular theme - because I am forced to chose from the available themes.
I did not wanted to go into such a discussion again, but I think to be fair, I have to explain why there is no alternative for me:
From all available themes in my standard Mythbuntu installation (I don't know of other sources/ways to install suplemental themes and I don't want to spend time for this), there are three types of themes:
Type 1 (MythCenter): clean and simple (nearly perfect), but too childish or too less elegant
Type 2 (Mythbuntu): clean, simple and elegant, but modified for visually impaired
Type 3 (all the rest): extremely beautiful, but only usable to look at and not for really using it
Of course, one may argue to accept this or that and that there never will be a perfect theme to suit such narrow-minded people like me. But there was.

Not that this topic is so much important for me that I finally would do a fork, but - just to clarify some possible circumstances, and because I think it is courtesy - I asked this already a while ago. But there was no answer.

And this is the Achilles' heel of open source as well. For those that just want to USE a software and don't want to contribute everywhere, they always are in danger of losing functionality with doing an update.
(I still am sitting on v0.27.x because I am afraid of what numerous things will break down this time when doing an update)
