[mythtv-users] Auto commskip failing in specific situations

In the first instance I am hoping that someone can either verify or
otherwise tell me if I have a local setup problem:

1) Auto commskip does not appear to work if the commercial starts in the
first 90 frames (usual situation here is the pre-roll which normally starts
on the first frame). My wild guess is that this probably relates in some
fashion to a combination of my buffer settings and the framerate of my local
content (Australian DVB-T so 25fps). Essentially if the first commercial
starts sooner that the first 89 frames then the commercial will not
automatically skip. If the commercial starts on the 90th frame sometimes it
will skip and sometimes it will not. If it starts on the 91st frame or later
it always automatically skips the commercial.

2) Auto commskip does not appear to work if the jump to next commercial
break marker key is pressed (default keys are 'end' or 'z'). ie if I am mid
watching a recording and am getting bored (usually in the sport section of
the news) I normally want to skip to the weather which always occurs
straight after the next commerical break. So I press 'z' once which jumps to
the next commercial break marker which is the start of the next commercial.
But instead of then auto skipping the commercial it just plays the
commercial. If I then press 'z' again (now mid commercial) it jumps to the
next commercial break marker which is the end of the commercial - so it is
easy to work around. However if I let the recording play through without
using the jump keys the commercial is skipped correctly, and I assume that
using the 'jump to' key should not block the auto skip from skipping. Again
I wonder if this has something to do with buffering or something similar -
just a guess.

In the first instance if someone could confirm if this is expected behaviour
or not, or if it is just happening for me or not that would be much
appreciated.
