Yes that looks exactly like the problems I'm seeing where 
post-processing of a lossless cut file fails or produces unusable 
output.  I'm surprised that the metadata of the lossless cut file seems 
broken when viewed using mediainfo or ffmpeg/avconv. It seems that 
mythtranscode has a new format for mpeg-ps files that these other 
programs don't know.
