a log of mythfrontend started with -v audio,playback --loglevel debug
is the minimum to start
now, did you configure myth to use different settings between gui and
playback, and setting it to change frequency automatically.
you could have misconfigured it and your playback is set to use
1920x1200 resolution.
check it there:
setup -> appearance and see if
'separate video modes for gui and tv playback is checked' and if it
is, that only 1920x1080 is set in the video output field.
