While I agree with the sentiment that a larger fan spinning slower is
generally better, I can't agree here. An 8" fan is going to severely
restrict you on the number of cases you can actually find with room for
one, and they are almost always the for the purpose of handling 500+W of
graphics cards, rather than for low noise.
