I tried this and couldn't get it to compile fully but didnt put a whole
heap of effort in I must admit.
For use as a simple frontend I found the easiest solution was to install
openelec on the Raspberry pi. It has the mythv frontend addon and works
pretty well with virtually zero effort.
It does require you to purchase the mpeg2 code for £2.40 otherwise it
stutters horribly trying to decode in software.
For a simple and very cheap frontend it works quite well although I did
find a few intermittent issues with it crashing. It may be fixed now and I
havent used it for much more than a bit of tinkering as I have Revo's as my
backends and frontends and currently have no need for another frontend to
justify much time on it.
I would like to run it as a slave backend but have ordered the TBS MOI
streaming box so must admit my enthusiasm for getting the pi working as
such in that respect has waned as I wait for the MOI
