[mythtv-users] Help debugging a consistent backend crash

I chased a constant crash issue for months, segfaults etc, sometimes 3 a
day, other times ok for weeks.
I desperation I decided to remove half the memory to test, it had
previously passed memtest etc without problems.
I had 16GB (because it is soo cheap) of Corsair memory in 2 banks ( 4
sticks), remove half so back to 8GB, never crashed since, that was 2
months ago.

I had tried everything to fix the problem, thought it was mythcommflag
at one stage.

I don't know if the memory is faulty, or it is some weird issue with the
MB or Ubuntu / Myth does not like too much memory in this config.

Of course there is no difference between 8 and 16 GB for performance.

regards

Lee
