I think mine is a Samsung UA32D6000

It plays myth recordings, subject to the length is limited to the length when you start watching ie
5 minutes after xxx starts I watch it. I get only 5 minutes of play time.
I can restart and skip 5 minutes then watch the next 5 minutes before TheEnd
Watching a completely recorded xxx means I get to watch it all.

UPNP server does NOT honour the cut list.
I do this: it is easy, it works, I'm SURE it is wrong:

Record xxx and cut commercials by whatever way. I'm in Australia and the commercial detection is not worth the effort.
make a dvd from your recording, using the cut list
make a link to the mpg file being created
  ie ln  ..mytharchive/work/1/whatevever-its-called.mpg  xxx.mpg
I store videos in ....Movies, put the file there
in mythfrontend Videos->E->Scan for changes

I now have my xxx recording with cutlist done to watch at my leisure
