My setup is slightly different, in that I have 2 dual freeview tuners, one
HD/SD and one just SD.  I have one of the HD tuners setup with just the HD
multiplex and channels and the other 3 tuners with all the SD channels.
For recording, the HD tuner is set as number 1 in the order, so if it can
be recorded in HD, then it will, if not, it will go to an SD channel, as
has already been said.

This works well for me and just means that I effectively loose an SD tuner,
which isn't an issue for me at the moment, but my older SD tuner is on its
way out and I would get conflicts if I lost it completely, so may look at
setting things up differently
