I have never understood why people are so anxious to see files deleted...
unless your looking to move to new drives or something and just need it to
happen right away, it's far better to set the max age to 7 days or so, or
just -1. The system is great about deleting the recordings when it needs
space, and it has saved me with the WAF a few times.
If I had to empty my deleted items, I would open the recording group in the
recordings screen, open the menu and select "add this group to playlist",
then open the menu again and select playlist options > delete.
