I'm in the UK, so I just need it to work at 50Hz. What you say
is very interesting: the machine I set up for my girlfriend has a
GT210, and that does glitch a bit on Advanced 2x. I have her machine
using a fairly old driver though.

Do you know how a GT510M compares?
