Have you enabled wakeup from USB? On my Zotac ION board with Mythbuntu
12.04 I use the following line in /etc/rc.local in order to enable USB
wakeup. You'll of course need to change the device reference to whatever
its called on your system:

echo enabled > /sys/bus/usb/devices/4-4/power/wakeup

You might want to start out your testing with a USB keyboard rather then
the MCE USB device, just to make sure you're not struggling with multiple
unrelated issues.
