    I like your suggestion. With the current Service API's you cannot
get information on the user jobs running state or at least I do not know
how. Therefore it cannot be reflected on the indicator's icon. It could
be added to the MythTV v0.24logic, which uses the python bindings, but
at this point I do not want to add specialised feature support for a
version which will soon be superseded. See this link for the current

I run the frontend in a separate desktop work space as this solution
causes an issue described below, which does not actually bother me at
all. See the third post in this thread for a description of the
