[mythtv-users] Has MythTV bricked my HD-PVR?

I recently upgraded from FC12 (myth 0.23) to FC16 (myth 0.24). Now that
I've got all the udev issues worked out so that /dev/video_hdpvr maps to
the video device assigned to the HD-PVR, I am now having problems with
pretty much any recording I attempt. Generally, the recording will start,
and then fail a few minutes later with messages like this:

*

2012-02-29 22:04:24.283 TVRec(28): Changing from None to RecordingOnly
2012-02-29 22:04:24.284 TVRec(28): HW Tuner: 28->28

(17 minutes of the program recorded and then it failed)

Then, when the next scheduled recording starts, of course it fails as well,
with messages like this:

At this point I have to reset the device and then I can rinse and repeat
the above scenario.

I am still running the same HD-PVR firmware that I was before -- the stable
version 1.5.7, from June 17, 2010. I can't be sure if this problem is the
result of the mythtv upgrade, or the O/S upgrade.

*[ 217.551237] hdpvr 2-3:1.0: firmware version 0x15 dated Jun 17 2010
09:26:53*
*[ 217.738519] hdpvr 2-3:1.0: device now attached to video1*

Anyone have ideas on how to fix this?
Larry
