Fast is a relative term. This will still take hours. I'll add a step
to this that might help:
-1. Set your zip code on your HDHR (http://www.silicondust.com/privacy/)
hdhomerun_config <device id> set /lineup/location <country code>:<postal code>
Country codes: ISO Country Codes, e.g. Australia:AU, Canada:CA, Denmark:DK,
Great Britain:GB, New Zealand:NZ, United States:US.
This isn't strictly necessary, but it ensures that Silicon Dust has at
least one participating user in your zip code, you! This may improve
the quality of the listings on their site for your location. (Of
course, the effects of this won't be immediate.)

I've never had much luck with mythweb's channel editor. There are so
many channels, and no easy way that I know of to filter the list based
on sourceid or other such criteria that the page is unwieldy. Using
it, I find myself nervous that I'm going to screw up my other sources.
Most of the time, it doesn't seem to work at all. When I click save
to save the changes, the page just reloads and everything is back to
the way it was.

It's been my experience that generally, I'm not lucky.

Of course, the Silicon Dust listings are often wrong or don't match up
correctly. This means the bulk of channels need to be resolved with
step 4.

If you've got the chan info editor open, why not just fill in the
xmltvid right there? When I do this, I typically launch mythfrontend
in a window (e.g. --geometry 1024x576 works well for a 1920x1080
display) and have the schedules direct and silicon dust pages open in
other windows simultaneously.
