It changes everything in that, you now have a small portable device with a
great front end to all your media. Assuming that it works like xbmc works on
my PC, I can point it to my media center front end and access my DVD rips,
MP3 directory, and mythlink'ed recordings. I had to give my work iPad back,
but I used to have it mounted to my refrigerator door. It would sort of work
with Plex Media Server but it never had direct access to my backend servers,
so it never worked the way I wanted. My only other options were xbmc / plex
/ boxee / MythTV on another PC, and that isn't exactly
refrigerator-friendly.
I've tried several of the conversion routes, including Orb, PlayOn,
TVersity, and another one that escapes me, and they're all a bit lacking.
This has the potential to throw all of those into the trash.
As for Myth support, MythBox (http://code.google.com/p/mythbox/) supports
0.24, just not live TV yet.
